It’s Wednesday and I haven’t smiled “normally” for GPOYW in forever. This is my face. Still not normal.
Er… I inadvertently dressed like Where’s Waldo today.
GPOYW: “I just threw $2 in the office lottery pool” edition
GPOYW: ”Hanging out in Maryland for Thanksgiving” edition!
Glad I wore a beanie today. Wintry mix, bleargh.
PS. I finally got an iPhone 5, so expect a lot more gratuitous, vain self-protraiting… like the pre-2009 days!
GPOYW: Perrier with a bendy straw + Joe edition!

Yesterday was a field day - quite literally - for our New York office. We spent the day at Country Fair Park on Long Island, bonding by racing go-karts, hitting balls at the driving range and batting cages, and challenging each other in mini-golf and volleyball. The day ended with a giant water slide, lawn games, a BBQ, and a dessert/ice cream buffet!
This was so much fun! On Tuesday I learned:
- if you wear old sneakers that don’t have traction, you will be the first to fall during tug-of-war
- if you don’t know your own strength, you’ll break things
- for the life of me, I cannot serve a volleyball over the net
- yelling “MAKE IT” will not help said volleyball gain more air/distance
- potato sack races? WAY more exhausting than they appear

Happy Bike Month and Bike to Work Week! We’re taking part in Bike NYC’s Commuter Challenge. This morning, Joe and I met up to ride across the Manhattan Bridge to our office in Soho. It was the perfect morning for a bike ride, and the scenery wasn’t too shabby either.
Is your own bike looking a little dusty from being in storage all winter? Our friends at Etsy (who are also taking part in the Commuter Challenge) show you how to tune up your bike…

Happy cycling, and be safe out there!
I bought a bike on Saturday and this morning I made Joe ride with me to work. I didn’t get hit by a car, and I didn’t kill any pedestrians - let’s chalk today up as a good day.
(Also, my face is HUGE, good grief.)
