As promised, a post about my graduation. Here I am with Kingsley, Seojie, and Jimmy, aka the peanut gallery during the entire commencement ceremony.

We were sitting in the last row. Can you see me? I have [so helpfully] added a circle and an arrow to help you locate my position in the sea of graduates. :D I believe this was right after the turning of the tassels.

Here I am, accepting my diploma from Provost Havis, tassel a-swingin’ merrily.

When I found my family after the ceremony, it was the weirdest thing - I was overcome with emotion at the sight of my mom waving to me with a bouquet of sunflowers.

I just started bawling! Because! My mom! She’s just… she’s just this amazing woman with incredible strength and perseverance. She’s the rock that I always hang on to. I know that I caused her a lot of grief and worry, growing up (I was particularly wretched during high school), but look at this: we both made it! She’s so cute!

Continuing on… Thank you so, so, so much to everyone that has followed my blog as I stumbled along. All your kind words of encouragement have not gone unappreciated. They say it takes a village to raise a child… well Internet, I like to think of you as my metaphorical village (and I, your overgrown child). For that I want to hug each and every one of ya’ll — I love you guys!

My undergraduate journey definitely had its ups and downs, and my commencement was a long time coming… but I DID IT!
